The Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board is a community-based, not-for-profit Corporation, funded by Employment Ontario. The Board's primary role is to help improve the conditions of the labour market by facilitating a local planning process, through which representatives of community organizations and institutions jointly discuss and strategize on actions aimed at addressing local labour market issues of common interest and creating opportunities for partnership development activities and projects that respond to local labour market challenges.

A registered charity since 1973, S.H.A.R.E. serves Sarnia Lambton residents with all disabilities. The all-volunteer group raises funds in the community through individual and memorial donations, bequests and bingo proceeds. Funds are used to provide a variety of services including swim therapy, transportation, social and recreational programs, educational workshops and social services. The social services branch helps with shared costs of needs not fully covered by other sources.
